Georg Stensland is married to Signe, and together they have four children. He spent nine years living in Tunisia, where he gained a deep understanding of the country's culture, history, and modern church. Georg is fluent in French and English, with conversational skills in Arabic, making him well-equipped to navigate and connect in diverse contexts.
He holds a master’s degree in theology from Fjellhaug International University and brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to his work.

Itinerary
Friday, 2nd of May
We will welcome you at Carthage International Airport in the capitol city of Tunis. From there we will ensure that you get safely to your hotel. Royal Victoria, the former British Embassy, occupied since 1662 by the English, which represented the foothold of the British kingdom in North Africa. The hotel is located just inside “Port de France”. The tour begins with a casual afternoon on the threshold to the old Medina of Tunis and an early dinner in the blue city of Sidi Bou Said with its whitewashed houses with blue doors and roofs.
Saturday, 3rd of May
We will be picked up from the hotel after breakfast and driven for about 30 minutes to «site archaeological Carthage» and then the site where the New Testament was first was canonized. We will look at ancient Punic and Roman ruins, Roman temples, Christian ruined churches, an old baptismal font and the "modern" church Cathédrale Saint-Louis de Carthage from the end of the 19th century. We will have lunch somewhere along the way. Wear good shoes because there will be a lot of walking. After dinner, we then make our way three hours south to Sfax and check in at Hôtel Radisson.
Sunday, 4th of May
After breakfast, we’ll attend the service in the French church, the only active church in the city of Sfax, consisting of mainly sub-Saharan African students. After the service we will make our way to the old Medina of Sfax and eat lunch at a roof top restaurant. There is still some time to explore before we need to fetch our luggage and depart for Sousse – two hours north.
Monday, 5th of May
An excursion to the small town of El Jem and the ancient amphitheater of El Jem built in the 3rd century AD and the third largest in the world. After a tour of the theater, we’ll enjoy lunch with a historical view before visiting the city's museum along the remains and ruins of “via maxima” where we get an insight into how the rich lived in the historic Thysdrus and one of the largest collections of ancient tile mosiac depictions of Roman and Punic life.
Tuesday, 6th of May
After some intensive days, this day will be a day to breathe out and relax a bit. Spend the day at the beautiful seaside Movenpick hotel or visit the old town of Sousse. The day is yours with some optional tours available for those who wish to explore.
Wednesday, 7th of May
We leave Sousse after breakfast and drive about one hours to Kairouan, a UNESCO World Heritage site and the fourth most visited city by Muslim pilgrims after Mecca, Median and Jerusalem. We will see the old Mosque and visit several sites in the old Medina. We will spend the night at Hôtel Continental.

Thursday, 8th of May
We leave Kairouan after breakfast and drive about three hours north to Dougga, another UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the best preserved old roman cities in the world. After Dougga we will drive east to Tunis and stop by the Andalusian town of Testour on our way – famous for its mosque and cheese.
Friday, 9th of May
After spending a night at Hôtel Concorde Les Berges Du Lac it is time to head to Carthage International Airport and fly out, leaving this wonderful and charming country behind. Hopefully, the memories and impressions will stay with you though – maybe for life.
